Two years of pictures, gathered here and there on various trips, some close to home and others a little further afield. It is strange looking back through them now. Places revisited, paths walked, unexpected stops and those moments when the light, weather or landscape made it worth taking out the camera. At the time, each journey felt separate; viewed together, the images have become a record of two busy years.
As ever, life has had a habit of getting in the way. The pictures were taken, downloaded and stored away, while the website projects gradually fell behind. There was always something else to do and another journey around the corner. Before long, folders had become an archive of places, people and half-remembered days waiting to be sorted.
Over the past few weeks, I have finally begun bringing the projects up to date. Going back through the photographs has been a journey in itself—remembering where they were taken, what was happening at the time and why a particular scene caught my attention. Some images immediately brought everything back; others had almost been forgotten.
So much can change in two years, yet a photograph holds its moment quietly in place. Here are a few of the images collected along the way, now finally finding their home.
